Lindsay Szofran

Lindsay brings a lifelong connection to Montana’s rivers, landscapes, and outdoor heritage to the Clarks Fork Yellowstone Partnership Board. Born and raised in Montana, her commitment to conservation was shaped by growing up on a large farm east of Billings, where she developed a strong appreciation for outdoor access, healthy rivers, and the responsible use of natural resources.

As an avid fly angler, Lindsay has spent countless days on the water learning about and appreciating the interconnected relationships that support healthy aquatic ecosystems. She is an internationally recognized fly angler, guide, and conservation advocate whose career connects elite competitive achievement with decades of hands-on river stewardship. Lindsay has represented the United States at all five Ladies Fly Fishing World Championships, earned multiple top-10 finishes, and helped the USA team secure its first gold medal in 2025.

Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Montana, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Business Management and Marketing. She has operated a sales and consulting business for more than 20 years and has also helped operate Fly Fishing Only Adventures with her husband, Andy. Through guiding, she has the opportunity to share her deep knowledge of fly fishing while advocating for the protection of the ecosystems that sustain Montana’s outdoor economy.

Her background in agriculture, business, recreation, and conservation gives Lindsay a well-rounded perspective on the importance of collaborative watershed stewardship and the long-term health of Montana’s rivers.
